In the year of Two thousand and One a concept was formed in south Florida.
The entity that spawned from that concept is now named the
"Palm Beach Jousting Club"
P.B.J.C. founding director Cynthia Morrison, a two time International Women's
Jousting Champion, possessed a need to share this magnificent medieval sport
with her community. Her competitive experiences throughout her Jousting
career presented the fact that a need exists to preserve the chivalrous
ideals that "once was" part of the great Jousting tournaments from
centuries past.

Sharing her Jousting skill and knowledge with preferred members is only part
of her passion driven force. She finds working with these special members a
sincere pleasure as they grasp every movement and detail that may one day be
crucial to them or their opponents on the tournament field. Already
extensively trained in combat sports these members realize the importance of
such training. P.B.J.C also wishes to reach out to the youth in the community
by honoring those less fortunate in life experiences while placing emphasis
on presenting positive values to children of all phases.

P.B.J.C. practices the style of Joust sometimes referred to as "Heavy weapon
with light armor" However, P.B.J.C. combative rules reflect contemporary
emphasis on safety not only for the competitors but for the horses as well!
